The Calm After ...

When you consider the songs that Travis has released, all from his own abilities as a song writer, you would think that after almost 5 years of not seeing anything released by Travis Tritt that his next album would be to the same standards as his previous albums, but that isnt the case, only two new songs, but they have come from another artist, not written and sung by Travis Tritt. Its good to see hes involved his daughter in one of his new songs and maybe hell duet with her in the future but make the song your own, not borrowed from someone else. The charts already have too many cover versions of songs as it is, Ive always seen Travis Tritt as being an original singer/songwriter. Im not complaining about his cover versions of the two songs, they sound great, but after 5 years Travis Tritt fans were expecting better than what he gave us. Ten of the songs are from his last album "The Storm" and it would be pointless buying this album just for the two "new" songs if fans already have "The Storm" If this is what fans are to expect from Travis Tritts own label from now on his fan base will be thinned down to a small following.
