Hollywood-Nashville-New York - The bluegrass giant has released it's 14th album in their award winning history. The Smokey River Boys have graced the pages of Billboard, Gavin, New Music Weekly, Music City News, Country Entertainment Magazine and have had recent chart success in Billboard, Music Row, New Music Weekly and charts around the world. Their latest release "All Pure Country" went to #1 in the Hot Country Singles chart in NMW. The Smokey River Boys were nominatd "Group Of The Century" in the Academy Of International Recording Artists 2014 awards program. They were also nominated "Group Of The Year" for 2014 by New Music Weekly. This is the group that has a 40 year history in country music. The original players started on Time Life-Warner Brothers and they were all in the movies. The members of the Smokey River Boys original group played behind John Wayne, Gene Autry, Randolph Scott, and the greatest legendary cowboys in the movies. The second generation of Smokey River Boys were on MCA Universal and are well known for their Dueling Banjos album and Best Of Banjo Album. The third generation of Smokey River Boys recorded the "O Brother" album and wrote the signature song O Brother which was a #1 radio hit via CDX in Nashville. Their "O Brother" sound track album has become a standard around the tables of families who love their clean lyrics and positive uptempo feel good music. Today's "All Pure Country" group is well known for their unique style and particularly the songwriting of their manager, Robert Metzgar who has sung, produced and managed the legendary group now for over 20 years.
