You Are so Real
I grew up in a little village in New Brunswick with the unforgettable name of Kouchibouguac. I spent most of my childhood running through the woods chasing friends, whether they be human or otherwise. When I wasn't defending the world from all that was evil, I went to a little white church a short car ride away. This is where I first had the opportunity to sing. It started with Christmas concerts in the kid's choir, singing songs that had secretly been written by my mom(I only recently found out she wrote some of our favourites). Listening to and watching my parents' love for music helped nurture a natural magnetism to music in my own life. Most people's memory of me is standing on the front pew of a church strumming sweet nothing's on my little guitar. And to be honest it really hasn't changed that much. My audience might have broadened and you'll more likely find me somewhere between a cafe open mic session and somebody's living room, but the heart remains. I would only imagine that it won't change a whole lot now. It should be mentioned that I have a real job too. I am the pastor of a great church in Shediac, NB and I have another job during the day to make sure my wife and baby girl don't go hungry. And that's about it. I like Nutella and Chai Tea Egg Nog's and trees. I've never eaten the latter and never put the previous two together but just wanted to throw that out there and be more personal and such. Anywho... this is my story... my letters thrown together!
