Michael "Bloomers" Bloomfield plays slide on "When I Need You," "Just a Closer Walk With Thee," and "At the Cross," opting for his better-known single-string work on "Memphis Radio Blues" and "Blues for Norman." While this is certainly not the place to start a Bloomfield collection by any stretch, it's worth checking out after you've assembled the essentials of the man's work.
