Ayahuasca :: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack This album by Poranguí is the original soundtrack to the documentary film by director Mitch Schultz (D.M.T. The Spirit Molecule) that tells the story of a special group of Americans seeking healing that venture into the Amazon to work with an ancient & sacred sacrament of plant medicine known as Ayahuasca (Quechua for "Vine of the Soul"). The music was scored, performed and produced by multi-instrumentalist & traditional healer, Poranguí. Though there are separate tracks on this album, it was created apart from the film as an entire experience that supports the listener in connecting to the earth & self in a deeper way. We recommend you create a harmonious space and play all the songs in sequence. The jungle sounds were recorded by Poranguí in the Amazon rainforest. Each song has sounds from a distinct time of the day or night to transmit the energetic imprint of that space & time. The songs were deeply inspired by this forest orchestra and the indigenous tribes from the region.
