He has been lucky enough to be a part of many festivals including Powellapallooza, Desert Rocks, Boise Beatdown, Utah Arts Fest, Promenade Music Festival, InTents Music Festival, and many more. His sound has been compared to Eminem and Tupac, although he insists his combination between dubsound singing and emceeing is unique and uncomparable, an experience best served LIVE. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT; gLife has long been forging a name in the irons of the underground. Growing up he was influenced by grunge music, along with guitar greats like Jimi Hendrix and BB King. As he became a teenager his focus was shifted to poli-science and the music of Tupac, Immortal Technique, and CanIBus filled his veins with content for the system. Emulating his heroes, gLife found himself in and out of trouble as a youth, but there was one constant in his life; the music. His hip hop career started with the KB MOB project produced by electronic geniuses Tim and Raph Shore in 1999. From there he teamed up with his high school best friend Ayisha (aka I.E. or InEssence) and created the duo “One-Five”; which achieved much success in regional touring, rap battles, and album sales. In 2005, gLife teamed up with Mad Max for the duo “Bomb City” with the album “GRIND” (produced by Mark Kendall, lead guitarist from the 80's hair metal fame Great White), released in 2007. Moving on in 2009 to a hip hop super group made up of gLife, Bloswick, MC Blu, and DJ Aspect; Major Street Project was well known all over the West Coast, leading a tour sponsored by Seedless Clothing and receiving a nomination to the Marijuana Music Awards for gLife's song “Yes I Can.” Although many projects have been released, none so fierce as the upcoming “All I Know”. This album has production by LdontheCut (DJ for Sublime and Rome) and by LAM (Self Expression Music, “the LAM and Grins Project”). It features vocal talent from Ariano and more. The first single, “Depending on the Day” ft. LD and Ariano is available now for free download. Hitting the road, the radio, and the grind harder than ever... gLife keeps it moving.
