On the Attack and More
by Andrew Hamilton This explicit, ten-song CD, brazenly sung by Chicago native Gillette, will have you all ears until the last track. The pretty, Hispanic bad girl kicks it off with the hilarious "Mr. Personality." "On the Attack," the title track, is a pumping, in-your-face assault aided by spirited male vocals chanting like chipmunks. "Whatcha Gonna Do" has all the elements of "On the Attack," but adds some rock guitar. There are two versions of her risqué "Short Short Man": one clean, one explicit. Producers Charlie Babie and Manny Mohr used drum machines and synthesizers on every cut, dubbing in extra instruments for spice. Most of the titles speak of sex. On "Move Too Fast," she admonishes her man for being too speedy in the sack; "Coochie Dance" needs no explaining; and she screams for an all night lover on "Wanna Wild Thang." This CD is off the hook.
