Alex Johnson Solo Piano
The vision for this album began when I was 14 years old, and four years later it's now a reality. Many of the compositions and classical pieces were debuted at annual piano recitals. My first composition, Ignis et Aqua in G Minor, is a compilation of my own ideas, the theme from Clint Mansell's Lux Aeterna, and the Dies Irae Requiem. Dream in C Sharp Minor surfaced during a trip to Peru when I got to play a pipe organ at a local chapel. Serenity was improvised at a recording session. Lastly, Dark Dance, Russian Doll March, and The Unknown were developed during piano lessons, improvisational performances, and recording sessions over the past few years. 1. To other composers of all ages, the world of composition is one of the largest and most unexplored fields out there. Don't be scared, study the masters, let your ideas flow, and put your heart into everything you do.
