Cured - Part 1
The Bambook Project is an alias of one of the most hotly tipped acts for 2011, Stockholm based DJ & producer Eiad Sayegh. With releases for Replug, Lowbit and Baroque already under his belt the Bambook Project is showing no signs of slowing down. One of the aims of Bambook is to collaborate with other unique and talented artists who share the same creative vision. For the 97th release on Indigo Records Bambook has teamed up with frequent collaborator Ollie V for their 'Cured' single which features remixes from Audio Junkies and Lank. The 'Cured' original is aimed squarely at the dancefloor with its wobbly almost Moroder-esqe bassline that is simply monstrous and oozing with character. The lead synth conjures more than a deadly enough hook to up the intensity on most club floors and sounds fabulous with its ethereal, effervescent quality. Israel's Audio Junkies have long been one of the freshest names on the scene with releases on Definitive and Audio Therapy, the duo even has the esteemed Charlie May on their remix discography. For their 'Cured' remix the Audio Junkies have used the best elements from the original to create a bit of a fuller more club friendly vibe. The repetitive vocal stab is remarkably hypnotic and in turn creates an infectious energy when layered with tried and tested bassline from the original. Floor rocking stuff from Audio Junkies! One of Hungary's finest producers Peter Golyan aka Lank provides the final mix on Part One of the package. Peter has gone and out done himself here with what will surely be one of his best productions of 2011. The unique twist Peter has come up with on the bassline has given it a bit more of an angry growl which should certainly satisfy the new school proggers. The anthemic chords are what really sets this piece apart, they are the perfect complement to take the track to even greater heights as the emotional content soars higher and higher for a can't miss finale. www.indigomuzik.com
