It was released on July 12, 2011 as a 2 Disc CD + DVD combo, with the DVD showing the dance steps.[3] It has peaked at number 22 on the US Billboard 200 and topped the US Billboard Top Soundtracks and the US Billboard Kid Albums. Elsewhere, it has peaked at number 65 in Mexico. It was followed by two soundtracks Shake It Up: Live 2 Dance (2012) and Shake It Up: I <3 Dance (2013).
