Marrying The Sea

The songs on this CD reflect Siobhan's vocal range and artistic choices. As a singer/songwriter Siobhan lends her voice beautifully to both traditional and contemporary songs. From Declan O'Rourkes haunting "Marrying the Sea" to Lennon & McCartney's elegaic "For No One," Siobhan captures the essence of contemporary Irish folk singing. Siobhan has a long history in Traditional Music. As lead singer of the Irish band Dannsair, Siobhan has sung all across the US, Ireland, England, Canada and Spain. Performances with the Chieftains, Donogh Hennessy (founding guitarist of Lunasa), Eilis Kennedy and Pauline Scanlon (Lumiere) and numerous others have honed her melodic vocals to an emotional pitch. In venues from Barcelona to Berkeley, she has brought her voice and emotion to thousands of listeners. Her performance reviews range from "breathtaking" to " thoughtful, contemplative." Siobhan attended PCPA, UC Berkeley, and is currently in graduate school at UC Irvine.
