People Are Lonely
Gravitonas returned today with a brand new single, the first to be taken from their forthcoming EP ‘Garden Of Men And Machines’. It’s ‘People Are Lonely’ and it features their regular sparring partners, and Gravitonas member Alexander Bard’s other band, Army of Lovers. It’s an electrified guitarpop song with a theatrical melody and a menacing vocal from Andreas Öhrn. It also pulls off the remarkable trick of giving the listener what seems like two choruses. And too pretty damn brill choruses at that. We’re about ready for Gravitonas to move on from their dalliances with Army of Lovers though, and go back to giving us pure Gravitonas – which is what we hope and expect the new EP to be. It seems like it’s been a while since we got to hear new Gravitonas, and we’re soooo ready for it by now. Our only gripe with ‘People Are Lonely’ is that its quality is somewhat trodden on by the appearance of the almost comedy vocal that joins Andreas, making up the Army of Lovers contribution. We’d have preferred an Andreas solo.
