Al Lerner, composer, arranger, and consummate musician, played a repertoire of classical, jazz, and show tunes that delighted audiences for over five decades. His performances spanned the globe, accompanying some of the greatest artists of the Big Band era and the musical world, including Dick Haymes, Glen Mccarthy, Frankie Laine, Buddy Rich, Al Martino, Rudy Vallee, George Gobel, Jimmy Doolittle, Tony Martin, Eddie Fisher, and Glenn Miller. A world-class pianist and conductor, Lerner was a man for all occasions, and he knew how to entertain. This is the first full-length album of Al's solo performances in which he plays amazing piano, and sings on some of the tracks.
