Kenny P, born Kenneth Pruitt, is the C.E.O. of his own independent label, A1 Entertainment. Born in Alabama, but having grown up in the poverty stricken projects of Cincinnati, he was no stranger to the hustle and the grind of the streets. His trials and tribulations moved him to bring his story to life........through music. Thus, he began writing in 1995. He soon discovered those same ghetto tales could not only tell his life story, but potentially become his claim to fame. With little to no help, staying true to the game, he set out to make things happen for himself. In 1996 he began distributing his own tapes and CDs.
