The Birthday Party

limited edition(1,500?) 13 tracks, 48 1/2 minutes a mix of posies songs, solo jon auer tracks, and the occasional cover tune. according to jon, he was asked by a wealthy friend to perform at a very intimate (4 people!) birthday party. guitar & vocal are evenly and well recorded. jon can be heard laughing & joking with guests between tracks. back of front-cover of the digipak shows the layout of the performance- 2 people to one side, 2 to the other- with just a single, hanging microphone in front & above jon, who was armed with just his acoustic guitar. other side of inlay lists track titles, and the albums (more literal) title- "caths birthday party, june 1st, 2002". back-cover has the record label info (but no specific catalog number for the cd), the upc (#821902230322), and the numbering (but not the total quantity) for each, limited edition cd.
