This Conversation Seems Like a Dream
Kip Winger专辑介绍:by Greg PratoIn the wake of the final album by Winger's original lineup, 1993's Pull, not much was heard from singer/bassist Kip Winger; it appeared as though he had realized the sudden shift in the hard rock climate and opted for a hiatus. Instead of rounding up the troupes once more when he was ready to return, Winger chose to launch a solo career, resulting in 1997's This Conversation Seems Like a Dream. Whereas Winger (the band) combined melody with hard rock, Kip Winger focuses solely on melody here, as evidenced by such tracks as the almost easy listening "Monster," "A Kiss of Life" -- which has an unmistakable '80s/Mike + the Mechanics feel -- and the acoustic guitar-led tearjerker "How Far Will We Go?" The Marshall amps have been mostly stowed away, but This Conversation Seems Like a Dream still manages to be unmistakably Winger.
