Can You Feel Me

While the music isn't stylistically different from G-funk, it is catchier and more memorable than many sub-Dre productions. More importantly, Dru Down is a terrific rapper, capable of laconic phrasing like Snoop Dogg or wild, freestyle stream-of-consciousness bursts of energy. Combined with the first-rate music, the lyrical skills make Can You Feel Me one of the finest hip-hop records of 1996.
