Ladino is the Castillian Spanish of the 15th Century with its own linguistic passport stamps from the places it traveled to and from. It was the secular language of the Jews of Spain and Portugal, and contained many words of Hebraic origin, but also acquired words of Turkish, Greek, French and Italian origin, as it wandered the Diaspora.
