Keep It Goin' On
Taylor Hill (born May 19, 1992), also known by his stage name ErLy Bird, or ErLy for short, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, musician, entrepreneur, and actor. His colorful approach and genre crossing style makes listening to music an experience again. Growing up in Hollis, Queens, Taylor played instruments and expressed his love for the arts early in life. In 2002, with programs on the computer, he started making beats. Soon after, he moved upward in production, learned song structure and started making tracks. In 2006, Taylor attended Bedford Academy High School, where he sang in the concert chorus and gospel choir, and was captain of the drum line. Taylor declared music his passion and began writing songs. Late 2007 to early 2008, he worked with The Terrie Williams Agency/Studio 9 Production Company. There he interned in the studio and learned recording, editing/mixing, and behind the scene production. In 2009, after successfully completing high school in three years, Taylor graduated with honors and was inducted into The National Honors Society. Shortly after graduation, in August 2009, Taylor produced, co-wrote, and performed three songs at the “Amber Ready Concert”. The concert was to raise awareness of the crisis of missing children and the Amber alert system, Amber Ready, which is in place to help find missing children. He performed alongside such acts as Ciara, Robin Thicke, Sean Kingston, Day 26, and with a host of other artists and performers. The concert was in Times Square, New York and produced on the ABC Network. In 2010, he studied audio production at The Art Institute of California in Los Angeles, and is currently pursuing a BA degree in audio production. Taylor supports community activism by lending his time and talent to various youth programs. He is a youth leader at his church where he volunteers in peer sessions, plays the keyboard, sings in the choir, produces music for and acts with the BGT/ACT Drama Ensemble. In December 2011, Taylor Hill took home a win at the “Where’s the Talent” showcase and talent search hosted by Dreams Up Entertainment.
