James Broughton: The Music Of His Dance (Vol. 2)

Friends WIth Benefits Records is proud to release "James Broughton: The Music Of His Dance (Vol. 2)". The EP is presented in conjunction with the documentary feature film "Big Joy: The Adventures of James Broughton". The compilation features seven new songs by acclaimed artists Heartthrob, Hard Ton, Lady Blacktronika, Sparber, Gehno Aviance, Microfilm, and Adonisaurus. All songs feature archival audio of Broughton reading his poetry set to the producers' original music. This unique compilation brings Broughton's poetry from the page to the dance floor and carries the message of Big Joy to an entirely new audience. Friends With Benefits Records, based in San Francisco, was founded in 2013 by David Sternesky, Mat dos Santos, and Trevor Sigler, and specializes in independent dance music and promoting the work of innovative electronic musicians, with a special focus on queer-identified talent.
