Thunder

The Thunder EP debuts Emma Brammers solo project and its full, luscious, and soothing. Brammers vocals are at times whispered, at times pouting and always captivating. The title track, Thunder is simultaneously delicate and robust with remixes from Paul Harris (Dirty Vegas) and Sable Blanc changing things up. Harris creates an undeniably compelling direction for the track while Sable Blanc plays on the delicacy and then gives it some. Learned It is again smooth, but this time simple and sparse, warmed by obvious nu-jazz influences. As with Thunder, the vocals on Learned It take the lead over soulful chords and once again tight production and urban beats from Modal producer Ben Macklin tie this delicious little package up nicely.
