Pain Is A Warning
Today is the Day reign as one of the most unique and influential bands of the past two decades. The band s violent and anthemic style blends metal, noise, psychedelic, and rock, winning them worldwide acclaim since their debut release Supernova in the early 90s. They have toured the world with Morbid Angel, Motorhead, Helmet, Unsane, Converge, Napalm Death, Coalesce and many others. Steve Austin, the iconic founder and front man of Today is the Day, has made a name as a producer, aiding in the creation of seminal albums for Converge, Lamb of God, Deadguy, and more. Widely influential, Today is the Day is accredited as one of the national starting points for Bill Kelliher and Brann Dailor, who would later form Mastodon after spending time in the band in 1999. The band released prior material with respected cult labels Amphetamine Reptile, Relapse, Hydrahead and Steve Austin s own Supernova Records before signing with Black Market Activities earlier this year.
