Friendly Fa$cism (Explicit)
by Stephen Thomas ErlewineWhile Consolidated's political consciousness is commendable, they have apparently spent more time on their lyrics than music. Too frequently, the rhythms are nothing but relentlessly simple, headache-inducing pounding, not subtly textured assaults like Public Enemy. But when their backing tracks do match the fury of their lyrics, the results are quite powerful; too bad that only happens on a third of the album.
