Blast Radius
The Blast Radius is a follow-up to Insight's debut Updated Software V 2.5, and boasts 15 new tracks by the Boston-based emcee/DJ/producer. Noted primarily for his work as a beatsmith and emcee in his crew Electric Company, Insight strikes a new nerve with his sophomore drop. Insight teams up with his partner-in-rhyme, Edan, on "Unexplained Phenomena," where the duo displays their obvious chemistry over the horn-laden beat. Other highlights include collabs with fellow Electric brethren Dahga on "The Method of Madness" and "Visual Audio." Insight adds an interesting touch to the album with "Seventeen MC's," a cut where he morphs his flow and voice tone to make the joint sound like a huge posse cut. The album also features a bonus CD complete with music videos, a biography, live performances, and linear notes.
