The Dome Vol. 28

Each volume of BMG Germany's Dome series compiles a big chunk of popular and often club-oriented music ? some of it topped the charts, some of it didn't. The ground covered reaches across rock, dance-pop, progressive trance, Hi-NRG, and R&B/hip-hop, with the tracks mixed decently; some listeners will be dismayed by the fact that some of their favorite dance singles are whittled down to three or four minutes, in order to keep the music flowing. Those who ordinarily don't buy much club/pop music will find a few moments to enjoy in each volume, but those with more than a casual interest should avoid this. Dome, Vol. 28 includes Gareth Gates' "Spirit in the Sky," Before Four's "I'll Be There," Patrick Nuo's "Welcome (To My Little Island)," Westlife's "Hey Whatever," and Sylver's "Shallow Water."
