Punk Goes Classic Rock
Genres: Rock, Punk 2010 Fearless Records Another great album in the Punk Goes... series, although this year as with last, there aren't any truly punk bands on the track listing. So, OK, the album doesn't technically justify it's title, but it's the idea that counts. These covers are pretty amazing. Of course, it's sometimes hard to make a song your own when it's a cover, but several of these bands have managed that. The stand out track for me, originality wise, is A Skylit Drive's cover of Journey's Separate Ways (Worlds Apart). On the topic of simply amazing tracks, the best for me was either blessthefall's version of Dream On or Pierce The Veil's (Don't Fear) The Reaper. All in all a wonderful album - definitely worth buying...
