Saga Africa
London based afro-funk electro stalwarts, Radioclit (Johan Karlberg and Etienne Tron), take the reins for the first episode of a series of mini-compilations curated by Mental Groove's hottest artists. For this edition, the trend defying (and defining) duo pick their favorite young producers and let them paint their own picture of Africa. The Fader-favorite Douster takes the Lion King theme (yes, THE LION KING) and turns it into a raucous dance floor anthem, while über-productive French producer Lazy Flow gets down with an African funk bassline that would make zombies dance and Myd delivers a smile-inducing gem of poppy house. The icing on the cake are Radioclit themselves, still sizzling from critical acclaim received for The Very Best album (their collaboration with Malawi artist Esau Mwamwaya). On Tutule Dance, they expand on that sound by drawing more parallels between African-influenced pop music and actual African music. The result is an essential addition to their joyously global dance pop repertoire.
