The excellent album "Boot Out" (Orpheus), published in 1975 by Julio Pereira and Carlos Cavalheiro, elements of Xarhanga, was reissued in late March, bringing the singles released in 1973 by Xarhanga ("Acid Nightmare" and "Great Goat "). A fantastic piece of progressive rock national, leaning on the themes of the colonial war of independence and freedom of the colonies; this edition, complete with discs edited by Xarhanga, important name in the launching of hard-rock in Portugal.. Group come from Lisbon and created in 1972, forerunner of heavy metal in Portugal and which was part Júlio Pereira. Were the only group of its kind that managed to record an album before April 25. In 1973 Edit "Acid Nightmare" and now in collaboration with Ze ***** - one of the best drummers of the time - even record again in the same year the single "Great Goat", performed and mixed the record Polysom studios in Lisbon. The band was formed by Júlio Pereira (guitar, piano, ex-The Playboys, former Petrus Castrus), Carlos Knight (voice, future alarm), Venancio Rui (drums on the first disc), Ze ***** (drums on the second disk, Former Objective, former Kama Sutra) and Carlos Patrick (bass). The influences of the project were Atomic Rooster, Colosseum, Santana, King Crimson, Gentle Giant, Uriah Heep or Deep Purple. 2008 will be reissued the album "Boot Out" of 1975, in fact, it is a work of the partnership Júlio Pereira / Carlos Knight, elements of Xarhanga. Were included on the CD reissue of the band's two singles. This is fantastic piece of national progressive rock, overlooking the themes of colonial war of independence and freedom of the colonies but, truly, it was not a disk of Xarhanga.
