The entire score is both haunting and eerie in many ways, and even the first track, "Me" (sung by Meryl Streep) is a great comic performances by one of the industry's greatest actresses. That track, which is part of Madeline's performance in the musical version of "Sweet Bird of Youth," has a combination of popular and disco music in order to illustrate the main character's sad descent into low budget productions as she ages. Along with Jerry Goldsmith, Alan Silvestri is one of the best film score composers alive. His style can't be reproduced and without this beuatiful score, I feel that the movie will lose a very vital factor in telling the story the way Zemeckis intended it to be. Simply one of the best film scores in recent years. I also recommend the scores to "Total Recall," "Basic Instinct," and the "Matrix" if you liked this album.
