Kywitt! is Caprice’s most colourful album – a variety of styles and instruments may sound like a patchwork at first, but in fact this release has a well-balanced structure. Unlike the previous Elvenmusic albums (which were an attempt to show what music of the elves sounds like), this time a human view at the faerie world is presented. Fantasy spirit dominates in the music and lyrics, evoking surrealistic images of a different reality. For this recording Caprice have engaged guitars, timpani, duduk, accordion, lots of acoustic and electric percussion and a whole range of vintage analogue synthesizers – all this in addition to the group’s usual strings and woodwinds! As a result, every song has a different instrumentation. The album’s hallmark is Inna’s high voice, who often sings with herself, sounding like a vocal band rather than a solo singer.
