Obsession was a vocal trance track written and produced by Mallorca Lee & Rodger Hughes working under the alias Ultra-Sonic. The track cemented the bands reputation as Scotland no.1 live act, touring the world and playing alongside the likes of The Prodigy, Moby, Carl Cox and Sven Vath. The band released three studio albums and one live album selling almost two million records world wide before ending the project in 1998. With the help of David Forbes and Tom Wilson (r.i.p.) Mallorca found the original vocalist Heather Allan and re-recorded the vocals. Keeping true to the original song he then added his unique tech trance touches to the production that really brings the track back to todays dance floors. Obsessions is a song with a driving bass line that takes the track all the way to a hands in the air break down. Play this track anywhere in the world and you will witness the dance floor sing along to every word - This track was and still is an anthem ! The track has been remixed by James Allan. Fresh from remixing The Organ Donors and with releases on just about every label worth mentioning with his production partner Mark Sherry. James admits that Obsession was the track that got him into dance music in the first place !! James extends the break down adding new strings and a killer hook line when it blasts back into action. The vocals are tight and correct with just enough chops and edits to make this remix fresh without changing the feel of the vocal.
