Primordia

Deep, aquatic, haunting atmospheres take you to a surreal sound stage of emotion somewhere between fear and desire. Deadbeat's first CD release is not something to be overlooked or cast in the shadows of the more popular releases on the ~scape label. In fact, some may agree that some of the latter material by Scott Monteith is almost too produced, or too polished sounding. Either way, Primordia is an exceptional dark release with brooding kick-pulses, swirling tones and sonic vibrations. Though short in track number, the hefty durations averaging at about nine minutes give you plenty of time to drift off into the deadbeat dimension.
