This is My World
by Tony Wilds Obviously, this is Ros' entry in the dubious "round-the-world" idiom. As usual by this point, a third of the tracks are vocal. Except for the new material, no new ground is broken. The mix of samba and Herb Alpert is stale; particularly unnecessary is the sambafication of "Mexicali Rose." But through the smoke of big band, strings, and easy listening, the same old Ros charm is still there. "El mundo de Edmundo" is a nice one.
