Back in the late winter of 2013 Kista&Glad2Mecha started working on ideas to make music together,hours were spent talking about there musical influences,albums they grew up on,and the sound they both wanted to create that would eventually create the blueprints for “Collecting Dust”. What they have created is an album that sits with you,an album you can return to,the crackle of the vinyl,beats that sound rough around the edges,lyrics that make you think,and a soulfulness that makes you drift off,you can see the hours and hours spent by Kista searching through dusty old records looking for those samples to create the backdrop to this album,while Glad2mecha spent many a late nights in Arizona penning lyrics to the rough demos they exchanged through the course of making “Collecting Dust”.
