Back To Scratch
Charlotte Church is back with her first album in five years, Back To Scratch. Her second pop album - following 2005's Platinum selling Tissues and Issues - Back To Scratch, shows off a mature, refined side to Charlotte, with a sophisticated pop sound. Partly written in Nashville with Luke Laird and Patrick Davis, she also worked with local Welsh artists The Druids and Jonathan Powell on the album. Songs on the album include "Back to Scratch", the first single, recorded when Charlotte's relationship with Gavin Henson was breaking down, giving the track an extra, raw edge. Other highlights are "Ruby" (originally sung by French singer, Camille), the powerful ballad "Story of Us", Country-influenced "Don't Think About It" and a tender version of Joni Mitchell's classic "River".
