This automobile audio revolution continued in 2013 with Taxeee Tapes Vol. 2, eight tracks of trunk-bumpin’ business endorsed by the pulpit of private transportation itself: FM 103.9 Beijing Traffic Radio. Sadly, those days are behind us. The once-dominant old-skool Volkswagen Jetta has been superseded by the high-tech Hyundai Elantra, and tape decks are now a rare sight in this smoggy city. In one last defiant gesture, 87FEI87 has summoned the best electronic musicians from all over China for the third and final installation of our seminal series.
