Plays Chicago Blues
by Michael GallucciGray's a competent bluesman, if not a very inventive one. Because he's done session time with Bo Diddley and Howlin' Wolf, among others, this tribute to Southside Chicago blues rings of authenticity. And because he's been around, his voice infuses these songs with just enough grime and grit. But his backing band here is mediocre, and there's no way around the fact that most of the songs have been done better many times before.
