The Smoakstack Sessions Vol. 2
The Smoakstack Sessions Vol. 2 is the third extended play (EP) by American recording artist Kelly Clarkson. It will be released through RCA Records as a companion record with her first greatest hits album, Greatest Hits: Chapter One, on November 19, 2012. Similar her debut EP, The Smoakstack Sessions, The Smoakstack Sessions Vol. 2 was recorded at the The Smoakstack recording studios in Nashville, Tennessee. The EP consists of six cover versions: "I Never Loved a Man" by Aretha Franklin (which Clarkson recorded with Questlove), "Your Cheating Heart" by Hank Williams, "Walking After Midnight" by Patsy Cline, a mash-up of "That I Would Be Good" by Alanis Morissette with "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon, and "Lies" by The Black Keys — all of which she had previously performed in her All I Ever Wanted Tour in 2009.
