Electra Heart

Welsh singer-songwriter Marina and the Diamonds has started 2014 in a rather strange way. After 5 months since the premiere of the video of her new and latest track to date “Electra Heart“, she decided to put it up for sale on iTunes. Remember, on 8 August 2013, Diamandis released the final video in her 11 part “Electra Heart” series playing the previously unreleased title track. It served as a closing video to her era which includes new footage as well as a compilation of all her previously released videos. The new footage features her in the forest area previously seen in part 10. She killed the character of “Electra” by smearing her iconic heart symbol which lies on her cheek, symbolizing the end of an era. The single was released on iTunes on January 3, 2014. What kind of out of the blue release? Random Queen!
