Golden Movie Themes

While "Tara's Theme" is bombastic and brassy, Burt Bacharach and Hal David's "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" receives a snappy Muzak-like arrangement with woodwinds. "Theme From Love Story" is a reverb-laden mass of strings and choral vocals, the sort at which 101 Strings excels, while "Lara's Theme" and Dimitri Tiomkin's "Green Leaves of Summer" make welcome use of an acoustic guitar. Perhaps because of the mundane theme and dissimilar arrangements, Golden Movie Themes is not one of 101 Strings strongest or most interesting albums.
