Winter Harvest

by Richie Unterberger Although the group's sound moved into harder rock on their second album, they were still little more than mimics of British and (to a lesser degree) American rock trends, whether writing Beatles- or Kinks-styled originals, Monkees-type pop-rockers, or pop-soul along the lines of Bobby Hebb's "Sunny" ("Smoking Cigarettes"). It's not bad, but nothing to seek out; they weren't even among the better groups trying to imitate the sounds at the top of the charts, although at least they were doing their own songs.
