Dub Incorporation
by Chris True A reggae outfit combining elements of dancehall, dub, and ska with the sounds of hip-hop vocalized in French and Arabic, Dub Incorporation formed in 1997. The group -- hailing from Saint Etienne -- released its first album, Dub Incorporation, in 2000. The album went over well enough to warrant a re-release a year later, in an expanded edition subtitled Version 1.2. The group's next two full-lengths -- Diversite and Dans le Decor -- were released in 2003 and 2005, respectively. In late 2006, Dub Incorporation got around to releasing a live document of their well-known and well-loved live presentation, and finally issued album number four in 2008. This last effort was entitled Afrikya.
