Chila Lynn
At 19, Chila Lynn is considered one of the musical gems of a new generation. Her voice has the depth, the feeling and the soundness of the great artists, her musical knowledge is of high level, and when she sits at the piano we listen to a world-class instrumentalist. Chila Lynn is a complete, comprehensive artist, an artist of tremendous strength who is just starting a career which is heading to the top with her debut album Real Woman (“I think it is very enjoyable, I never tire of listening to it. I would like people to listen and enjoy it,” says Chila) released by EMI Music Spain. Chila Lynn: “I come with a very fresh and varied message, and the goal is to leave my mark.” The songs in Real Woman could be framed within that african-american-rooted soul-pop which is only accessible to artists which such a musical strength as Chila, featuring an outstanding voice and a performance ability very unusual for such a young singer. Her music combines contemporary music with a Motown feel which puts Chila Lynn in that timeless land where quality rules and the future looks promising and boundless. A clear example of that is her first single “When Love…” a song set to fly high… Chila Lynn was born on December 24th 1991. As young as three years old she entered the Alejandro García Caturla Elementary School of Music in Havana, to then continue studying for eight years classic piano and music at the Manuel Saumell School where she finished the elementary school. In 2005 she was admitted at the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory of Music, where she earned high honours and awards at the national competitions of piano and music. Throughout the past year Chila Lynn has finished her musical studies at the Higher National Conservatory of Music & Dance at the University of the Sorbonne in Paris, while at the same time she was preparing her fist album; Real Woman.
