She Sir
R.I.Y.L.: Real Estate, Mojave 3, Ride, Deerhunter, Beach House. Emerging from a dynamic mixture of hauntingly layered guitar lines, floating reverberated vocals and subtle hooks, She Sir earned enormous credibility from both audience and critics alike as the bands debut, "Who Can't Say Yes," reached into CMJ’s Top 100 in 2007. More recently, the record received an Honorable Mention in The San Francisco Appeal's list of the best releases of the 2000's decade. She Sir's latest pressing, "Ev'ry Thing In Paris," -which combines songs previously only available on vinyl with revisited and remastered tracks from the bands debut album- was named one of the top 10 out of Austin, TX in 2010 by Austin Town Hall and moves the band in a promising new direction: combining their finely culled shoegaze style with the elegance and engagement of 60’s pop melodicism. Since its release, the record has drawn positive comparisons to everyone from Belle & Sebastian to Pale Saints to The Beach Boys. The band paired with acclaimed producer Erik Wofford (White Denim, The Black Angels, Okkervil River, What Made Milwaukee Famous) in the making of their evolutionary release, incorporating stacks of vocal harmonies paralleled with layers of pulsing drums, cello and organ. She Sir is currently completing work on another quality record: a full-length of all brand new material due out sometime this winter on Happy Prince Records (Japan). She Sir is interested in finding the right American label to carry the release domestically.
