Cryogenic Echelon
Based in Australia, Cryogenic Echelon is first and foremost, the creative and critical outlet of Gerry Hawkins. His music being the embodiment of his innermost thoughts, ideals and vision of humanity. With multiple releases ranging from dark-electro, industrial dance, and aggrotech with flavours of hardstyle, dubstep and trance he always comes out with something fresh and new, yet never straying from the quality production and dark sound that is Cryogenic Echelon. In the 3 years so far of his career, he has progressed with leaps and bounds within the industrial scene. 2011 finds Cryogenic Echelon signing to U.S. based label Crunch Pod and presenting a debut release; "Fall Of The Reptiles". The six original tracks on the EP showcase what Hawkins and his cohort Ayax Ascension (additional production and vocals) are capable of as artists. Following Crunch Pod's departure, the project joined up with U.S maverick label CRL Studios. 2012 was a monumental year for Cryogenic Echelon. The debut album "Costume Of A Saviour" was released to underground acclaim. Following that, a successful bond was forged with Lawrie of Studio-X, with the two producing the second Cryogenic Echelon album "Antipode" which deviated heavily from the project's dark electro roots by including elements of Drum & Bass, Dubstep and Hardstyle . "Antipode" also featured a hit single "Demigod" which was featured as the introduction music for The Escapist Magazines "Jimquisition Awards Show 2012". In 2013, after releasing a slew of remix EPs Cryogenic Echelon joined the label Vera Records and released "Pandora & Persephone". The EP featured the production talents of partners in crime: Ayax Ascension, Lawrie Masson and the additional vocal, lyrical and production talents of Eugene Nesci of vProjekt. This release again featured the genre smashing style, blending Pop, Drum & Bass, Dubstep & Dark Electro into a palatable package. Soon after Cryogenic Echelon performed its debut live show at Hardwired in Melbourne, sharing a line-up with Studio-X and Melbourne industrial band Sirus. On July 15th, Cryogenic Echelon released the third digital album "Anthology" to solid acclaim. Featuring several powerful collaborations, once again proving the diversity of the project. Always striving to create and constantly working on release after release, Cryogenic Echelon shows no slowing down as it gears itself to take over all there is.
