法国爵士,带点电子、摇滚,长笛很好听。 Quentin Le Roux, or Hugo Kant, is a French multi-instrumentist, producer. Quentin Le Roux (aka Hugo Kant) is a French multi-instrumentalist / producer. He was born on June 15, 1976 and started to study music (piano and classical guitar) at the age of 5 at the National Music Academy of his childhood's city : Avignon. During his teenage years, he co-founded the psychedelic jazz rock band Güs Weg Watergang with three school friends, composing and playing keyboards, samplers, clarinet, flute, then bass guitar. Since 1996 to 1997, he studied at IMFP (professional jazz school) in Salon de Provence where he met Richard Rozembaum (Guitarist / Güs Weg Watergang). In 1997, Güs Weg Watergang released their debut album and did many gigs. They moved to Marseille in 1998, where he co-founded "Le studio des Sirènes" (recording studio) with his brother, Matthieu Le Roux, working as a sound engineer as well as session musician and art director on some projects. Meanwhile, Güs Weg Watergang produced four singles in preparation of their second album but split just before the recording sessions at the end of 2001. Then, he played with many bands (Latin, Latin Jazz, Song) as instrumentalist and arranger, staying five years with David Lafore Cinq Têtes (French singer) playing keyboard, flute, flugelhorn and accordion until 2007. In 2005, he met Samenakoa and joined the funky Brass Band, composing, playing flute and flugelhorn. He also worked on the release "Don Juan" by Oshen producing three of the tracks (V2 Records) and "Lokito" by Lokito (self-released). In 2006, he joined Nuestra Cosa (Electro Jazz), Farenji (Ethiopian Electro Jazz), released "Voyager léger " with Samenkoa, and he did his first solo concert as Dr_Kant (Electro Jazz) at "Un peu d'Alice II" Art Festival. 2007 sees the release of "Souk" with Samenakoa, the free album "Clockwise" with Picture Shop (electro-sound design, in collaboration with Christophe Ménassier), and worked on "II" by David Lafore Cinq Têtes released by the French label Opera-Music, they did a show at the famous venue Olympia (Paris). During 2009, he worked on "The March" with Samenakoa, doing a lot of production and arrangements on this album, released in December. In 2010, he decided to start his own project under the name Hugo Kant (Trip Hop), composing, playing and recording tracks. Meanwhile he began making various remixes either for the pleasure or for remix competitions online. His remix of the track "Electric Eyes" by Metaform was ranked N°3 by the listeners. On May 13, 2011 he released his debut "Searching London" EP (3 tracks) soon followed by the release of his debut album "I don't want to be an emperor" by Bellring on June 27. electronic music, downtempo, nu jazz, trip hop, and acoustic music.
