Lucky 7
by Bradley TorreanoLucky 7 won MP3.com's "Best Alternative Band of 1999" contest, giving them the sort of exposure most bands rarely get to experience. Before that point, they were a San Diego pop punk band, popular locally but somewhat unrecognized nationally. Due to their association with the website, their name spread quickly and they managed to put together the Miss Fortune album for release the same year. The Be the One EP came next, an EP that scored them a spot on the Vans Warped Tour in 2002. That fall, the group released their eponymous sophomore effort on Omega Records.
