London band FAMY   If Famy’s lush, pounding rock, their ringing guitars and trebly widescreen anthemia, sounds vaguely familiar and true to Wu Lyf, that’s because they are friends with and used to tour with the enigmatic, defunct Manchester band who once caused a furore after they sent out press shots of themselves with their faces obscured by bandanas (T-shirts, actually, if memory serves).   Four boys who grew up together in the South of France, although three of them are English and one of them is Italian. The band recently recorded their debut album with legendary Sultan of Sound Miti Adhikari (Nirvana, Radiohead) and exist within a creative world built on punk ethics and timeless, romantic songwriting.
