Optimum Wound Profile
by Greg PratoThe early 90s saw industrial metal finally emerge from the underground into the mainstream, thanks to big-selling releases by such artists as Nine Inch Nails and Ministry — clearing the way for countless other bands to follow in their path, including Optimum Wound Profile. The British-based quintet included former Extreme Noise Terror vocalist Phil Vane in their ranks, and issued a pair of albums for the Roadrunner label: the 1992 debut Lowest Common Denominator and 1993s Silver or Lead, as well as a final release, Asphyxia, in 1995, before splitting up.
