IMAKEMADBEATS
IMAKEMADBEATS (also known as NeMo) is an American hip hop record producer based in Brooklyn, New York City. With roots in Memphis, Tennessee and Orlando, Florida, the enigmatic producer is also affiliated with a series of groups and projects (BlakOut, the Transcontinental, Strangaz Productions, the 3 Wisemen), and has a collection of over 2,000 beats to his name. His early influences include Jay Dee, DJ Scratch, DJ Premier, Nottz, Pete Rock, Madlib, Synopse and his brother TzarizM. In 2004, IMAKEMADBEATS relocated from Orlando to NYC to further his career in the music industry, and landed a position as an engineer at the renowned Quad Studios. His stint at Quad led to collaborations with artists like Rah Digga, Steele (Smif n Wessun), Mic Geronimo, and more. In 2009, IMAKEMADBEATS teamed with Stones Throw recording artist Roc C to release The Transcontinental (E-1/Koch)on May 19. The album also featured artists like Rakka Iriscience (Dilated Peoples), Wildchild (Lootpack), Rapper Big Pooh (Little Brother), Oh No, and Chino XL, and garnered positive reviews from HipHopDX, URB, REMIX Mag, and more. This album was one of the first releases under the new name E1, formerly known as Koch. Roc C and NeMo supported The Transcontinental with the Smash Mouf Tour, a trek which took them up and down the East Coast along with Oh No, Chino XL, Butta Verses, MidaZ the Beast, Hezekiah, and AmIAm. IMAKEMADBEATS is currently preparing a slew of upcoming releases, including the BlakOut album Nightmusic with MidaZ the Beast, an EP with Butta Verses, and his eponymous IMAKEMADBEATS (Culture Kings Music), featuring Black Milk, Supastition,Sabac Red (Non-Phixion),Hezekiah, and Von Pea (Tanya Morgan).
